Just heard a NPR story on John Boehner’s reelection as speaker. 2 GOPers voted for departing congressman West, 1 voted Present and a few voted for Cantor. What are you trying to say when you vote for a guy who is not even in Congress anymore? Are we still in fifth grade?

Without commenting on why someone might vote for him, the house may elect any person as speaker, there’s no requirement that a member of the house hold that office. One would expect thet they’d become a member of the house upon election as speaker, but without a constituency. That may be the only possible way to expand the size of the house… 436!
Dammit, I read that as ‘Adam West’ and got excited. I mean, he’d be perfect. Then I realized my error 
I’d just like to make the House known that my services are available if required.
