Last night I and a friend went to the Toronto Comic Jam. It takes place on the last Tuesday of each month (except December) at the Cameron House, one block west of Spadina on the north side of Queen.
Imagine: twenty or thirty people in a bar, drawing. Each person takes a board with a piece of paper, starts a drawing or comic strip on it. Then they trade. As pages are filled, they are stuck to the walls, and gradually the room fills with artwork…
It was really good to get there and limber up the old art muscles. It felt like coming home. And the music was excellent.
I highly recommend it; the next one is in January.
