No real point to this other than to say “Damn, Alfred Molina is an incredible and strangely overlooked actor!” He’s so versatile that I had seen him in several movies (BOOGIE NIGHTS [as the coked up gay dude with the firecracker popping houseboy], CHOCOLAT [as the repressed mayor], BRAM & ALICE [horror writer in a terrible TV show], and DEAD MAN [small role as a missionary in the outpost]) before realizing it was the same actor. He’s as good as Salma Hayek as her loving but womanizing husband in FRIDA and I’m hoping that he’ll be great as Mussolini in the upcoming Eric Idle spoof of Ivory-Merchant vehicles, REMAINS OF THE PIANO.
That’s all- no thesis or questioning, just an homage to a great actor.
