One of the funniest Ali G bits is from Episode Three- “Politics” from HBO’s Da Ali G show (available on DVD). It features Cohen riffing off a DEA agent as Ali G. There’s a whole table full of confiscated drugs and the DEA agent is in typical D.A.R.E. propaganda mode “clarifying” illicit drugs:
DEA: Pot slows down your reaction time and your ability to learn.
Ali G: And is there any negative effects?
The looks on the agent’s face during this interview go down in history.
My favorite episode is one where Borat is following some political candidate around. “Eef you vote for heem, things will go very good for your family. Ef not [snaps pencil] ee weel crush you.”
