Alien: Earth

That would be a really interesting plot development. No notes.

Well, we don’t actually see him create a brand new technology that would revolutionize the entire human race, but the entire plot of the show is based around it.

One of the background articles Morrow dug up was about how, when he was 16, he badly crashed his e-bike he insisted on driving himself despite already having made a name for himself in AI, including self-driving AI specifically meant to avoid that sort of thing.

There is something wrong with the continuity, but about LV-426 specifically, how would they know, before the Nostromo even launched, anything about it? The Space Jockey might not have even crashed there yet. The Maginot travelled an order of magnitude longer and farther to collect their specimens; is there any indication they went anywhere near Zeta Reticuli?

They didn’t necessarily have to. Remember, the eggs didn’t originate on LV-426, they were brought there in a ship. So the Maginot could have found another source of eggs on a totally different planet.

Probably not though because it’s a Plot point in Alien that the Company wakes the crew of the Nostromo to check the planet out. WY knew some was there and used the Nostromo to get it. Part of what this prequel does is show how the company knew. So I think it’s implied the eggs came from LV-426.

I am suggesting exactly this.

They check the planet out because they receive a distress call. W–Y seem to have known, or strongly suspected, xenos were involved, though:

It was cited upthread that the Maginot explicitly recovered their eggs from LV-426. I forget where that I was communicated.

I started with the same rationalization, but it appears that this show is saying that W-Y and Prodigy both know about LV-426 and the Xeno eggs in 2120, 2 years before W-Y reroutes the Nostromo.

Actually, they just said from a moon. And LV-426 is a moon.

I saw on a TT breakdown the same thing. Supposedly there was some supporting content outside the show that confirms it. Haven’t seen it directly but the creator has interviewed the cast and showrunner on his show and seems like he’s reliable on the topic. Will see if I can find it.

Found the comment:

@MovieDeathBlow: They released this teaser earlier in the summer with the cat walking around and it says it in there on this blurry screen you see LV426

Assuming this is reliable, it seems canon that LV-426 is the source of all the eggs.
