All Blacks

Damn they are decorative and fun to watch

Ill be in my bunk

Heh…nice (although it kinda rips off the the NFL’s Fantasy Files series).

Man, I wish rugby were a pro sport here.

Well, their haka ain’t bad, either.

Unfortunately, that link appears to be.

Here’s one that works.

And then there’s how one responds to a hakka: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjNNtHRLCF8

That is amazingly funny =)

And actually, a realistic response to being haka’d at =) at least in Scots terms =)

It’s a good ad, but the team is looking a bit shaky on the field, with a close loss to Australia last week and only beating England by ten points on Saturday. Next year’s world cup is starting to look wide open.

They have a bit of a history with their form being out of sync with the World Cup schedule. This year was one of their best seasons.

Starting to look wide open? Don’t get what you’re saying there - I’m not a huge rugby union fan, but I am aware of the All Blacks as the biggest choke-artistes in world sport. So what does their form have to do with next year’s world cup? They could be steamrolling all and sundry, or they could be playing like dogs - doesn’t really matter. They will be duly crushed by the weight of heritage and expectation as per usual.

Nope, that title definitely belongs to the South African cricket team.
All Black’s are a podium finish though.

Another fine specimen.

Best response to the Haka.

I was at that match in Brisbane during RWC03. There was a thunderstorm brewing in the background and the duelling hakas was awesome. ’

Then the ABs won by 90-odd points.

Best response to the haka was Sam Scott-Young circa 92. He winked and blew kisses at the ABs. Almost had his head rucked off but we won the series. Couldn’t do that these days, of course, as it is culturally insensitive.

Don’t worry, kicking the living shite out of us in Dublin in a couple of weeks time week will get them back on track

Not necessarily - Ireland kept it very close against South Africa (and Steyn finally missed a kick).

Yeah but that was an ridiculously limited Bok side, missing most six or seven senior players. Besides Ireland seem to have a mental block when it come the All Blacks. Not enough Munster men on the team I feel, ahem.

It was only a close loss because Australia had a useless goal kicker. Bar 10 minutes of Aussie ineptitude it could have been a slaughter. And I say this having assumed we would lose before the game. I was amazed at the way the All Blacks played - very, very lackluster.

Screw culturally insensitive. If you have the balls to stand there and stare down, challenge or otherwise accept the haka do it any damn well way you please. The most insulting response (to me) is the one I most often see from australia where they like to pretend the haka isn’t happening

Wasn’t the Munsters a rip off of the Adams Family? or was it the other way round.

If I recall correctly the “Munster Tragedy” happened before I was out of daipers, and I have now been driving for 20 years…so it must have been like, yonks ago.

But yeah, more Munsterites in the team would be great  (did you see the movie?)
