All-Clad vs. other cookware

I bought a set of cheap stainless steel cookware with aluminum encapsulated in the base that works great on my radiant cooktop. There was a Macy’s being liquidated and I paid less than a hundred dollars 10 years ago. It was this Belgique, very similar to this set. The claim is that it works on induction tops as well, but I’ve never tried it. Worked fine on the gas range in my last house.

After more than 10 years it still looks good, maybe too good, sometimes I wish I could come up with an excuse to replace it, but it works too well to replace for no reason.

We’ve got a full set of All-clad Stainless, and it’s awesome. It heats evenly and quickly, and does pretty much everything you expect from a pan. Plus, it’s stainless steel, so it’s dishwasher safe and can be cleaned more vigorously than a lot of other middle-high end cookware.
