Anybody have a recommendation for a good all-inclusive resort in or near Puerto Vallarta? Also, any recommendations for nearby activities are welcome too.
I know there are several all-inclusives on the north end of town near the marina, but I haven’t stayed at them (we usually rent a house down in Conchas Chinas when we go to PV). I will, however, give a massive shout-out to Vallarta Adventures (http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/). We have done multiple outings with them, including whale watching, zip-lining, Jeep expeditions, etc. and have always had a fantastic time. The first time with them was 8 years ago, the most recent about a month ago, and they have been consistently great.
Love, love, LOVE Dreams. It has its own private beach, is off the main, busy part of things, and has a great staff. After I stayed here, my friend and her mom went and loved it just as much. Mom has since gone back two other times!
All the food is great, too. Awesome drinks, as well. If you bring $100 in ones to tip throughout your trip, you will never, ever have to wait for a drink. I would regularly tip a few bucks a drink at the bar, then go to the beach. Then, a little later, they’d bring me a whole tray of stuff to try, “We thought you’d like this!” 
Oh, this hotel is also where Arnie stayed while filming Predator, if that makes a difference.
There’s also all kinds of jungle day trips and such, though I personally just sprawled on the beach all day.
