All left handed audience

There’s a commercial playing for TIAA CREF right now that starts with what looks like a huge lecture hall with maybe 250 students. The teacher is off to the right, at least on the screen. Of these 250 students, I can clearly see maybe 12 of them actually taking notes. Here’s the strange thing. All of the note taking students are writing left handed. The commercial doesn’t seem to have anything to do with left-handedness. Is this some sort of subliminal message? Has the image somehow been reversed? This may be mundane and pointless, but it is bothering the crud out of me.

fandj

The image was probably reversed for better composition. Is there any writing in the scnene.

I was going to post a GQ about this very same commercial. In the center of the front row of seats there is some kind of big boxy gadget, that I suspect is some kind of audo/visual console, but I have never seen anything like this before. Anyone know what it is?

On OHP?

(OverHead Projector)

I haven’t seen the commercial, but ‘boxy thing’ sounds like an OHP. We had them in every room at University.

It looks too big to be an OHP. From memory, it looked to be about 3’ tall and about 4’long, sitting (permanently mounted?) on the floor with some kind of gauges and controls on the side. I’ll have to try to watch it again to get a better look.

So, out of 250 students, the 12 smart, studious, hard-working ones are the lefties. Makes perfect sense to me.

The lefties are too genius to bother with note-taking so I stand by my reversed-image theory.

Indeed :stuck_out_tongue:
