Not only am I black, I could probably name most of the black people on this board (assuming they’ve mentioned it). Not because I’m keeping tabs on anyone, but because for some reason my brain notes and stores lots of random facts about people (both here and in real life) if I read it or hear it once. So the names of my second grade teacher’s children are taking up space that could be used for something important.

Ditto, except I’m white. I also like to try and mentally list Dopers by state or country, sexual orientation, age, or whatever.

I do that, except not their names. Names go away. Hobbies? Random facts? Favorite colors? They’re stuck like glue - but my mind chooses not to get bogged down with mere trivialities like someone’s name.
