All right, so where should I go for THICK-CRUST pizza???

Not DEEP dish, I already know where to go for some killer deep dish…

But I’m looking for a happy medium. Seems that most of the non-deep dish pizza I’ve encountered has been VERY thin. I like some thickness in my pizza crust. So…where can I get some in-between without having to resort to frozen pizza? (And I can’t even find THAT any more in a thick crust!!!)

My Pi is a good medium-thick pizza. Personally, I think Lou Malnatti’s also belongs in that category more than in the deep-dish category. Sarpino’s is also a good medium-crust pizza.

I remember the original My Pi on Sheridan when I lived in that area, and always thought it had the best pizza I’d ever had. Sadly, I moved away and years later when I happened to be back in the area found that the whole neighborhood had changed. I wonder if the current incarnation is as good as the original.

I only ever knew the My π location near Clark and Fullerton. It has been gone for more than a year at least.

Doing a search shows there is a location in the 2000 block of North Damen. It looks to be the same family. I haven’t been there but if it is the same pizza then it would be worth checking out.

Yes, the Clark Street location is closed, alas. The Damen location has the same look and logo, so I assume it is the same pizza, but I have yet to check it out.
