My webmail has a rotating banner at the top of the page. One of the mortgage offer banners in the rotation has two rows of worms sticking out of holes, and the holes have state abbreviations under them. A bird walks along pecking out the worms and eating them.
The thing is that the worms look like feet. And when the bird eats them they look like penises.
It’s creeping me out.
Why would anybody get a mortgage from an outfit with advertisements like that? Oooh, look, penis-eating birds! :rolleyes:
Is that the same outfit that has the elongated dachshund with all 50 state’s abbreviations on it’s side in their ads? Those ads are freaky, but not as annoying as ‘punch the monkey’. Punch the monkey must DIE!

I use PithHelmet with Safari and rarely see any ads. It can also stop animated .gif files that get through. And you can set up different rules for individual websites, in case it blocks something you need. Best shareware I’ve ever bought.
