All wrapped up!

Woohoo, welcome back.

No hospital and no needles? Sounds good to me! If your husband needs any easy recipes for food that’s actually edible, just have him ask here, and I’m sure we’ll all post a few.

Good luck with the mummification!

Glad you avoided hospital time. All that horrid food never makes anyone better…Hope your legs heal soon Lynn!

So glad it turned out you can recuperate at home. Don’t feel embarrassed at all; I’m certain everyone is glad you didn’t need to be admitted.

My dad wears mummy legs too; having CHF causes the flareups. I’m sure they’re much more attractive on you than they are on him.

Take good care of yourself!!

Ahhh. I think you mucked up here Lynn. Isn’t it supposed to say:

“I was lying with my feet propped up and worrying quite a few people. Worst of all, I ended up eating my husband’s cooking”?

You take care, and get better real quick. Us Pit Rats are missing you heaps.

::Puts down rubber chicken he was planning on sacrificing::

Darn it, Lynn, you’re taking all the fun out of this!

(Seriously, though, glad to hear your better!)

Great news. Good luck. Will we be seeing you around anyway?

No need to be emabarrassed. We are all just glad that you didn’t have to go. Yeah!!! Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Glad to hear the good news! Relax and take care of yourself.

No hospital and getting better? Who could ask for anything more? (Although you did mention “husband’s cooking” and that could go either way.)

Now get all better. Please.

Get well soon Lynn.

My daughter just had a minor operation on the tendons in her hands and she is all bandaged up. Clingfilm(AKA Saran wrap?) is quite an effective waterproof covering and is easy to apply, although in our case this was just to keep the splashes off - you might need to secure the ends with some duct tape of you’re showering.

Yay, Lynn! No hospital is good.

Feel better soon.

::MsRobyn eyeballs the chocolates at her shrine to Lynn::

Robin

w00t!

We forgive you.

Re: mummified legs

Cool! You can stagger around the house with your arms outstretched, moaning “braaaainnnns!” Amuse the cats!

I am laughing loudly, dog startled, at Ethilrist’s post.

What yew need’s a recliner, Lynn. Feets up, keyboard in lap, maybe a function key programmed to ban someone to save time and effort… Oh, and of course, the PortaChoc right next to your recliner, dispensing Food For Thought on a whim.

Hang in there, Lynn, and it’s good to hear that you are doing well. It’s good that you’ll be at home, able to get some rest (not having people come in at 4am, like you said). My wife was in the hospital recently, and as she says, “The hospital is no place for a sick person!”

Actually, after she had surgery, they made her wear for a while what she terms “atomic booties” - these things that go on your legs, that periodically vibrate (using pumped air, I think) to increase the circulation in her legs. She hated them - they were hot and uncomfortable. Here’s hoping that your mummy wrappings aren’t as bad.

Yeah, but is your husband’s cooking better than hospital food?
I’m so glad to hear you’re feeling better! Yay!

I’m glad you didn’t require hospitalization!

Sending warm thoughts you way on a quick recovery.

w00t, indeed.

Take care of yourself, Lynn! We’re all rootin’ for ya.

I told you you wouldn’t be able to withstand the power of 30,000 Dopers sending prayers, good vibes, and warm wishes!

Best news in days! Good luck, Lynn, and keep getting better.
