All your base—actually pretty funny this time

It’s a stupid little flash movie with two (IIRC) eggs talking to each other. One says a bunch of nonsense in an attempt at humor and then when the other leaves he says “When come back bring pie.”

I’m sure one of the faithful has a link.

It may be shameful, but I never got tired of “all your base” jokes. But I’m lame. I even laugh at all the “IN SOVIET RUSSIA” jokes on Slashdot.

I never get tired of Libertarian’s “women of the 19-somethings will do something”.

“All your base” still cracks me up, as long as I divorce it from all the lameness of it being overquoted.

Ha! I thought I was lame. Quite a few here at work hadn’t heard of it at all! At least I knew it came from a video game (I am still embarrassed as hell about not knowing the crazy actually seemed to come from the flash movie). This gives me small, contextual validation, at least.

This is also my punishment for actually skipping all those GQ threads about it since I thought I knew. Never again, folks, never again.

After seeing that movie, I think I will join those ranks unofficially, at least.

I’ve had this on my hard drive for about a year.

But a few weeks ago they did a story on Marketplace about this.

To all haters of All Your Base, the message is clear…

You have no chance to survive make your time.

I still think “all your base” is funny.

The fifth picture from the bottom reflects that this phrase is still well known in youth culture. I’m so glad my friend runs the JSA Southern CA website and knows how to use Photoshop. Noah Weston doesn’t own a single pink or purple shirt.
