according to the multitude of people who consider this news; the reason he wasn’t arrested directly was:
a. he was not in phila proper.
b. the phila police would have to have gladwyn’s police along.
c. his lawyer called and stated that iverson would turn himself in on tuesday.
d. i believe the charges were posted on friday.
e. no one wanted to work the weekend.
even though it did not make the news apparently the phila police department had more than enough to do. so running around the 'burbs going for warrants in other jurisdictions was not high on the list.
if iverson had left his home and set foot into philly, then the phila police could have arrest him on the spot.
I think her point there was that story was only verified by Juwana - his wife, so she’s implying that by “going there” she’s going to be forced to say that Juwana made the whole thing up. I think.
I’ve seen it about ten times now, and it’s still funny as hell. As a contrast, I could only stomach Allan’s imfamous 30 minute “practice” speech one time.
