Allergies and fish lips

In Cecil’s latest column, he talks about fish scales in lipstick. Now, I know some people (well, one person, but I’ve heard of others) that are allergic to seafood. Has anyone ever heard of someone having an allergic reaction to the herring in Revlon’s Passionate Pucker Purple?

Well, allergies to cosmetics aren’t uncommon, but I’m not sure what the ususal culprits are.

I think, though, that when people have seafood allergies, they are generally to shellfish, not regular fish.

Passionate Purple?? fishy isn’t it!

That explains the scales on some womens lips.

Yes people are allergic to some kinds of lipsticks, maybe it is the fish scales.
