Allie Brosh, whose illustrations you’d probably recognize even if you don’t know her name, is back with a new book and an article in the New Yorker. She’s got horses now! Also kids, and possibly one more dog than before. And she’s still really, really funny in her idiosyncratic way. For me, it’s a ray of light in a really bad week of a really bad year.
She is going live this week. Allie Brosh: “Solutions and Other Problems” Virtual Book Tour in
I hope her depression has improved. she is very funny
Cool, I’ve got her new book on hold at the library. She’ll have to go far to beat “Dogs don’t understand simple concepts like moving”, though.
This. I found her blog to be warm, and really funny. I hope she is getting the help she needs.
Her posts about her dog’s struggles, with seemingly everything, were hilarious and frequently had me laughing out loud. I’ll be looking for her book.
Yay! This is some very good news–I’ve been a bit worried about her.
Ditto.
So talented - I remember a friend handing me a laptop as I walked through their door and telling me “hey, read this.” I thought it was a bit of an odd request/command. But it was the cross-country adventure with her dogs and I was doubled-over laughing by the time I was halfway through it.
I can relate, I used to have a Simple Dog and a Helper Dog–Helper Dog has gone before but I still have the Simple one although he seems to have gotten a little smarter in his old age. Maybe it’s just the grumpiness masquerading as late arrival brains though.
This is good news. I like her alot.
Haha, which one? Her alot of fire, mist, or beer cans?
