I love this story... so much

How a Fish Almost Destroyed My Childhood

My eyes are tearing up from laughing.

That’s fantastic–as her stories so often are.

Even before I checked the link, I thought, “Hyperbole and a Half”? I think “my eyes are tearing up from laughing” is what gave it away.

But I prefer some of her others, like
Dogs Don’t Understand Basic Concepts Like Moving
The Year Kenny Loggins Ruined Christmas
The God of Cake

Perhaps I’m missing something, but I find nothing funny in it at all.

::crosses ITR champion off the list of stalkable dopers::

Same. It was the title. That’s a H.5 title, if ever there was one.

yeah, I especially like her “dog” posts. I’ve known a lot of dogs that are as, uh, simple as hers.

How did I miss this?

Google Reader!! You let me down!

Love it. Perfect with a perfect punch line.

(I don’t think she will ever be able to top Kenny Loggins Christmas though.)

I hate you people. I had stuff I wanted to do today.

The dog relocation one made me actually LOL, like not just a snicker or chortle but actual laughter. I have a “helper dog”. He even looks like her “helper dog”.

Oh my God, when the helper dog started flopping around toward her food bowl I just about died.

Thank you for these!

Exactly! LOL.. I had it pegged before I opened the link. Genius.

I freakin LOVE Hyperbole and a half! The illustrations really crank up the funny.

Here’s a photo of Allie’s dogs.

I think my favorites are The Party (“parp?”), Texas, and the all time best, This is Why I’ll Never Be an Adult.

When I read about her mother’s slowly dawning realization at the McDonalds in The Party, I literally did laugh until I cried.

Those who enjoy H&aH should also check out The Oatmeal.

Same here. I saw it and immediately thought it looked like an even less funny version of “The Oatmeal”. Although if you look at it as a parody of the unfunny-ness of “The Oatmeal”, it’s actually kinda funny.

Sneaky Hate Spiral is one of my favorites. The bit with the mug falling out of the cupboard kills me.

Hyperbole and a Half is awesome. One of my favorites is The Four Levels of Social Entrapment, because THIS IS ME.

Clean ALL the things? :frowning: (That is me every weekend.)

Although clearly their styles are nothing alike, her tone reminds me of David Sedaris- the way they both make ordinary life seems hilarious and sad at the same time.

Never heard of this before. Too funny. I love the Kenny Loggins one!
