allmusic.com's top searches

I didn’t know that…

The AMG publishes the top searches for the previous week. Check out the artists, albums, and top [url="http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE4781ED948A97520CE992D4DDABD7DF529D64CEE831F29461BDFBA3C54851472F353F28C93FDFB6AB578B0FD2EA45F43DBC0EC57F6D9632D5DF0&sql=32:amg/info_pages/a_topsample.html"audio samples.

I don’t really have much to add; it’s nice to see Black Sabbath in the top 100.

Wow. In the top 100 album searches, there is exactly one from the 1980’s (and very few even from the 1990’s). Those of us who think the 80’s and 90’s were pretty much a musical ghetto can draw some validation from this.

My next goal - do enough searches to push a Mike Keneally album into the top 100. I think it would be a full time job with multiple browsers running…

All that demonstrates is that the names of albums from the 60s are better rooted in the public’s minds.
