Allow some calls when phone is silenced on iPhone

My gf has an iPhone 8, we want to set it so any calls or texts from her son or mom still ring it it’s silenced. I know how to do it on mine but not apple. If able, how do we do it?

You can use “Do Not Disturb” mode and set exceptions to that:

There is another way outside of the “Do Not Disturb” method that **SpeedwayRyan **mentioned.

You can edit a contact and turn “Emergency Bypass” on for them. The description of this feature specifies that is applies to the Do Not Disturb but it actually overrides the silent switch as well.

This setting can by found by editing a contact, selecting the ring tone, and toggling “Emergency Bypass” on.
