Wait, how does it mean that he’s Chinese? shouldn’t be up this late, but I am because I can’t stop reading the threads…
well i’m Chinese, but admittedly very American.
4 in chinese sounds like the word for die. Thus it’s an unlucky number.
I have no idea why 8 is signficant.
I can’t, seriously, what does it mean?
Ah, and I’m too lazy to scroll through the rest of a thread before posting. I just felt rather annoyed at not being able to guess for so long
hee hee! bingo.
also, “u’r” is not l337 for “your”. “j00r” is l337.
For Chinese, 8 is a very auspicious and lucky number.
Only last weekend my mother asked if someone could kill a wasp in her room, although the way mum asked was; “Is there anyone good at wasping in the house?”
Okay, what’s the rationale for this? And why’s “867” equate to Chinese? (And isn’t “Chinese Asian” horribly redundant?) If it was “888” sure, I’ll give you the 8 = luck/fortune thing, but 867?
(I’m getting whooshed, aren’t I? I hate it when that happens.)
As 4 is similar to “die”, 8 is similar to “rich”. Put 5 and 8 together and you get something like “be rich”. 3 is also considered lucky but I don’t know why.
Didn’t Cecil once cover all this?
