Alt+Tab in Word XP problem

My job requires that I switch computers on a nearly daily basis - I’m a floating secretary, and fill in for anyone who is sick or on vacation. Switching settings has never been a problem, because I rarely need to. But today, the computer I’m at is driving me crazy.

When I alt-tab between applications, it is no longer instantaneous. A large blue box appears, with a list of all my applications, and a screenshot of each as I tab through them. There is a massive delay involved in doing so (attributed to the screenshot, I imagine). Is there any way to disable the screenshot? Or to switch back to the normal alt-tab interface?

Obiwan, you’re my only hope.

Someone has installed a cmd-tab replacment on that machine - it might verywell be taskswitch.exe alt-tab replacement from Microsoft’s power toys. See (http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp)

you can probably remove it by going to add/remove programs, and uninstalling it.

That did the trick, bcullman. Thanks a bunch.
