Some friends and I are in the process of launching a small arts 'zine but have run into a problem with the printing house we were planning to use. Basically we had a really good deal but lost it, and now we can’t afford to use any of the other big printers in the city. So are there any alternative ways to print 1000 copies of a 40 page publication on a shoe-string ($500-$700?) budget?
Try the smaller printers, especially out of town.
