Am I invincible?

I’m starting to wonder. I’ve been thinking and I’ve realized:
I’ve never had a bone break
I’ve never had a fracture
I’ve never had a cavity
I’ve never had a bleeding nose
I’ve never had a black eye
I’ve never had an illness worse than strep throat
I’ve never had a major blood loss (large cuts etc)
I haven’t had a cold in about 3 years.
Theres probably more that I can’t remember. So am I invincible or just very lucky? And more importantly, whos jealous? :stuck_out_tongue: .

I can only claim an absence of 3 of those items you listed (fracture, broken bone, black eye). I nearly died from major blood loss (all internal - no mess) about five or six years ago. And I get a cold every freaking year. This year’s is the first one I’ve caught that wasn’t immediatley followed by bronchitis. Had pneumonia twice.

I’d count myself lucky in your shoes (or bones…or whatever).

Maybe you should start looking for an arch-nemesis…

What’s the difference between a bone break and a fracture?

I’ve never had a black eye.

I don’t think you’ve lived.

I’ve had a cavity and a bloody nose, but not at the same time…

Here’s how you find out:

Sign up for skydiving lessons. On about the third or fourth jump, tell the instructor you have a hunch about something and you want to jump sans chute to see if it pans out.

If you live, then the answer’s yes. If you don’t-- well, you won’t be the wiser.

I’ve never had a bone break
I’ve never had a fracture
I’ve had ONE cavity which is a pretty darn good track record compared with most people I know
I’ve never had a bleeding nose
I’ve never had a black eye
I’ve never had a major blood loss

However, I have a VERY VERY VERY bad immune system (mostly due to glandular fever). This means if a cold enters my town I WILL get it, and will probably relapse with glandular fever at the same time! I also have sensitive skin AND manage to get a lot of skin problems on top of that; I’ve had MAJORLY irritating chicken pox, got german measles very soon after being born and have had to have warts zapped off my skin at about five (which is a VERY, VERY creepy thing to have as one of your earliest surviving memories)!

I don’t know wether to be  or :frowning:

I haven’t had a cold since the end of high school - four and half years ago.

My trick is to strengthen my immune system by smutting as many people as I can.

I’ve had all the rest though: broken nose, fractures, black eyes and blood loss. Come to think of it, these seem to follow as a consequence of my immume system-augmentation trick.

Ah well. Lose on stocks, make it up on bonds.

No, I can see you just fine.

The evidence seems pretty clear. I don’t think there’s really any doubt you are invincible, and probably An Immortal. Good for you! May I suggest you dedicate your life to fighting crime and preserving truth, justice and anything else you hold dear. You may need a really cool-looking Spandex suit to do this in.

A note of caution. Protect your heel at all times. Never let anyone cut your hair while you’re asleep. Stay away from glowing green rocks.

I’m similar. I may have had a nose bleed or a black eye at some point - I don’t remember for sure. I do have a tendency to get colds though, and have intermittent hayfever. Other than that though, it all applies.
