I usually have a car towel. It’s a Harley Quinn printed beach towel.
In a series of fun trips down a logging track looking for cel phone service it got kinda messy. It was home in the laundry.
I, also have a dog towel in my car permanently. But I think the Yorkie Grace may have pee’d on it last time she went to the groomer.
Man, I sure want some 'Tater Logs ’ from the Pit Stop gas station. I need to buy my powerball tickets, too.
Should I?
Shouldn’t I?
Hmmmm?
Bekkers, my beloved sister who got separated from me at birth…
(It was probably aliens!)
My mother was prematurely grey. She was always finding herself in bewildering circumstances. So she finally declared herself “The Grey-Haired Old Bat.”
I inherited her grey hair. After she died, I announced to my sister that I was taking “The Grey-Haired Old Bat” crown. She said I could have it.
Don’t worry about the opinions of others. If they cannot appreciate the opportunity to laugh, the Hell with them!
Better yet, adopt my father’s Life Philosophy: Piss on 'Em!

Thank you ~VOW, I appreciate the vote of confidence (:))
Dennis, The Camden Rag (local nickname) invented gossipy small town newspapers.
There was, for awhile, another gossip sheet called ‘The Parham Report’. A weekly rag that listed every police report, neighborhood squabbles. Visiting relatives. And many notorious locals were featured.
You can probably find it online.
I’m proud to say I’ve never been featured.
Camden Arkansas!!! Been there many a time for work. Surrounded by swamps and pulp mills [never got used to the odor].
Site of a WWII naval rocket factory and storage. Still used today by a multitude of ammunition and explosive manufacturers because of the existing structures and proper explosive safety spacing.
You have the right Camden. I’m 26miles from Camden. On the outer edge of the County.
The ordinance plants and other Government contractors have plants in East Camden. Probably 40miles from me.
The big Paper Mill shut down 20 years ago.
It is still a big forest products area.
The little town I’m talking about is 11miles from me. I get my mail there and run in for an odd item.
My general attitude about this place is to avoid eye contact with anyone while I’m there and never go there after dark.
It’s a bad, bad, bad place.
I fear I’ve been noticed
ETA: those ‘swamps’ are a giant bayou called ‘Two Bayou’
Be glad that you’re not a religious Southerner. Then come Sunday you would’ve heard multiple iterations of, “Oh, Honey, I heard what happened at the Dollar General! Are you alright, sweetie?”
No denying mishaps when everyone brings them in your face on Sunday.
Oh, now ignorance being fought like gang busters! Did not know that.
The gas station in Smackover is named Sumac’s. I thought it was a mash up of the owners name or something. Cool!
When Mr.Wrekker came in from the Lakehouse (I think he stopped at the Joint for a few) he asked me what have I been ‘up’ to? Umm…“Nothing” sez I.
He kinda laughed. He asked me did I pick up the mail? Umm…“Yep” sez I.
He then went to bed.
He knows.
WTH? He was at the far end of the county at the Lake. Almost a different Country, really. How did he find this out?
I’m now going through his phone, looking for clues. I’m terrible.
So this is a town where locals watch with glee and tauntingly shake her keys while a woman struggles down a hill to fetch her money? Jeepers! Such creepers!
I see in Wiki that Camden was originally called Ecore a Fabri, which sounds nice. I wonder why they changed it from Fabri’s Bluff to Camden.
I see it’s in Ouachita County. When my sister first moved to Lose-ianna, I made the mistake of pronouncing Ouchita “Ouch Cheetah.” Sometimes I embarrass myself.
I call it ‘Oh, shitty’…
Who knows why the PTB(were)changed the name of the Queen City of the Ouachita to Camden?
I actually live on the Ouachita/Nevada county line, not really close to Camden.
Such a nice pastoral place to live.
But, seriously how many pine trees and kudzu vines can you see before you get overloaded on it.
I’d kinda like living near a Zoo.
(Oh, wait, I have my own zoo, or is it a circus?)
