Because it sure seems like it, dang it. There are no reviews for any of them on Amazon, no one here talks about them, and so on.
Here’s a little background, as far as I can tell:
In the 1970s, John Morressy wrote a series of science fiction novels that crossed in places but didn’t spend too much on the crossovers. Kinda standard idea–Man leaves Earth, spreads throughout the galaxy, finds similar species, loses contact with Earth, starts into an overall technological slide, and so on. He wrote some other novels that were unrelated to these space novels as well.
In the 1980s, Morressy starts writing the Kedrigern series and the Iron Angel trilogy (now four books.) Kedrigern has been brought up here before, and is a humorous wizard series. The Iron Angel trilogy is more traditional fantasy, with the line between good and evil clearly defined, but unlike several works in this mold, evil can never be destroyed. It pops up ever few hundred years in a different guise, some of it building on older previous evils and artifacts made earlier by the forces of good.
Now, I’ll be the first to say that in my opinion these aren’t the epitome of the genres, or even classics/standards. However, they are a good enough way to pass the time, if you can find them, as everything but the Kedrigern stuff being released in omnibus form are OOP.
Has anyone else ever read any of these?
