What evidence do you have that they are apocryphal? The entire story that Ledger increased his medicine dosage because he had trouble dealing with his method acting in the Joker role is the accepted version of events. If you want to challenge that, you need evidence.
No. you have that backwards. You need evidence. If you are going to claim that a role an actor had killed that actor, you are going to have to back that up. Occam’s razor says he probably had problems before he took the role.
That said, I look at the short thing TheBolteater posted, and it gives me hope.
Anne Hathaway is going to make a kickass Catwoman. I really believe she will, and catwoman is the only member of Batman’s rogues gallery that is going to be able to cap off the trilogy. She plays more with Bruce Wayne’s head more than the joker does.
Think about it.
For some reason I feel like Hathaway would make a better Harley than Catwoman, but I’m willing to see how she does.
Hah! Harley Quin.
My favorite incarnation of Batman was the art deco inspired animated series from the 90’s. It was that show that gave us Harley Quin. And I love the harlequin, but she’s the Joker’s moll, and there is no way in Hell Anne Hathaway could play her. But Hell, I’m not sure any actress could.
I don’t even know how you would write somebody as funny as Harley in to a Nolan movie.
How about Kristen Bell?
In the interests of equal time, before Spider-man yesterday I saw a trailer for Batman where finally something happened beyond people staring out into space or saying VERY IMPORTANT THINGS. It got me revved up enough to rewatch Batman Begins which was better than I remembered (and I already thought it was good).
Nervous? No. Sick to death of them milking Batman? Very.
Where’s the Flash or Wonder Woman flicks? How hard is it to find another Lynda Carter (except one that can maybe act)?
Parker Posey. Or my current crush, Emma Stone.
The trailers aren’t really exciting me, and I’m not yet convinced about Anne as Catwoman, but then the trailers for the second film didn’t excite me and I wasn’t too sure about heath as the Joker, and I was pleasantly surprised. And I’ve liked almost everything Nolan has done, and it has half the cast of Inception, so how bad could it be? It might not live up to the super hype, but it will at least be a fun superhero flick.
