She really does sound like she is having severe mental problems; whether it’s from schizophrenia or drugs (or a combination), I wish her all the best in getting good treatment and going on to live a long, happy life. I wouldn’t wish severe mental problems on anyone.
Encouraging news. Now lets hope that she just keeps taking the meds after leaving the hospital. A positive outcome would be just resuming a normal life and taking care of herself. Even better would be for her to resume her career like Britney Spears did.
It’s still early. A lot of things can happen. The conservatorship hearing is scheduled Aug 9.
Well at least it’s treatable. I’ve heard modern schizophrenia drugs have less side effects and can give the patient a somewhat normal life.
That’s a major improvement from the life Amanda has lived for the past year. Assuming of course that the news reports are accurate.
But, it is a condition that will require constant treatment.
Just as an example Carrie Fisher has successfully lived with bipolar disease for much of her adult life. Most of the time she does pretty well. I read that she had an episode last winter and had to go into the hospital for awhile. I guess they adjusted her meds. Anyway she’s out and preparing to work on the next Star Wars movie.
Schizophrenia is pretty bad, not that bipolar is a walk in the park either. If she has enough money left life won’t be as awful for her as most who have the disease.
I thought she and Kenan Thompson were the standouts of the 90’s Nick shows. Both had a lot of charisma, could speak well, and had great comedic timing and instincts even at a young age. Kenan has done pretty decently on Saturday Night Live.
