Amazing, "Consumer Reports"getting funny!

Consumer Reports has rarely been known for its sense of humor, but the current (March) issue has a couple of good ones.

First, they did an article on difficult-to-open packages (there was a thread on this a while ago), a long neglected subject. The samples they picked were given The Oyster Awards, an apt title, eh?

Then in their section “Selling It,” they noted when shopping on Amazon.com, almost every item had prices listed for “New” and also for “New and Used.” One example they gave was for a package of toilet paper, New at $11.59, and New & Used at $10.99!

They wrote that they also searched for condoms, and while Amazon had a “New and Used” link, to their relief, no used ones were for sale.

At least then.

‘Selling It’ has always had a few good quips in it, as far back as I can remember.
