Amazing dipper and dip combos

My finger in chocolate cake batter! Yum!

Soft pretzels in cheese sauce or mustard
Deep fried cheese curds in marinara

All-dressed chips in plain Greek yoghurt.

The pizza ‘bones’ dipped in blue cheese dressing (left over from the buffalo wings you ordered, too.) If no blue cheese dressing, Italian dressing will do.

OK, now it’s just getting creepy.

:dubious:

French fries dipped into applesauce. But it’s best with the frozen ones you fry at home.
Back when Chilis actually had good chili, a bowl of it with fries for dipping was a satisfying treat.
Bacon and mashed potatoes.

Of course, Canadians know that chips (commonly called “French fries” in the US) should be dipped in mayo. A good brown gravy will do if you don’t have mayo. Use any of those other things if you really must.

And one that just occurred to me: a variant of Thai-style peanut chicken. Mix unsalted unsweetened peanut butter with soy sauce and maybe a dash of fish sauce, add plenty of crushed or finely chopped garlic, and chili flakes to taste. Dip fried chicken tenders.

French Fries in a Wendy’s Frosty.

Carrot Chips in Greek Yogurt mixed with buffalo Ranch. It’s basically a healthier version of chips and dip.

Only if the finger is detached and consumed. You can only do that so many times.

Some of us American know that too.

Exactly 10 times, if you consume said finger. And there is that double dipping problem if you don’t.
I usually don’t worry about double dipping cause I am greedy with chocolate and don’t share.

Sweet potato chips dipped in spicy hummus is one of my all time favorite combos.

I prefer bleu cheese, myself.

This reminds me of the episode of MASH where the theater troupe came through and Colonel Potter and Gwen Verdon developed a little thing. He invites her to his quarters and pulls out a bottle of Scotch, followed by a package of Fig Newtons, gleefully demonstrating, “They’re great if you dunk 'em!”

I’d say eight. You still need a thumb and finger left to wield the finger you’re dipping with.

Not if you’re experienced at finger dipping. It is a learned skill. I started training at an early age.

…in “chocolate”?

How many fingers did you work up to?

I like your name/thread combo there. Of course, I received 10s regularly.
