Amazing Grace, a small tragedy. (Not the Song)

Bayliss was sent to YOU for a reason! That’s why he made it known he is YOUR dog.

Gracie is waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge.

Me and the Grandwrex had a funeral for Gracie.
We got a shoe box. (A Crocs shoebox, perfect because she chewed up a few Crocs in her day)
I wrapped her up in an old baby blanket. I put her collar and her stuffed monkey in with her. The grandkids all put a picture they colored for her.

I couldn’t not tell them she died. She was everywhere they were.
As a grandmother nothing is more heart wrenching than watching 4 children sobbing over the death of a pet.

Mr Wrekker dug a hole in my flower bed/pet graveyard.
We buried her and we each said what we loved about Gracie.
It was special.

Beck, I’m so sorry for your loss. You wrote a wonderful tribute to your little friend. Gracie will always be in your heart. Hug Bayliss for me and give him lots of love.

“The Grandwreks each put a picture in they colored for her.”

I damn near lost it.

What a beautiful way for the kids to say goodbye!

This is where I teared up.

All of you are special for loving Gracie so.

Boo
{{for each of you}}
Ear skritch for Bayliss

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

God, I love this place.

When I went to the hospital in early March. mid-Daughter took over Gracie’s needs for me. I was so grateful to have her willing/able to do that for me.
Mid–Daughter just couldn’t believe I did that every day to keep Grace alive. After I came home occasionally Gracie would go to her and put her paws on her ankle. That was her way to tell you “pick me up”
mid-Daughter fell right in love with Grace.

Yesterday she cried as hard as I did.

I’m so sorry Beck. It hurts so much to lose a pet. hugs

Thank you Sunny.

Sniff… daggone dust… ((((Beck))))) A beautiful eulogy for a special friend
