They were all at the airport together, even at the reservation desk together. Rob and Kimberly’s clerk was faster at getting them checked in and got two of the last three seats on the flight. That left one just one seat on the flight.
But weren’t they handed a picfture of Kuwait towers and told they had to figure out what it was and go there?
Perfect!
One Detour is putting on a lizard suit and stomping through a miniature to get the clue, the other is to recreate the statue “The Thinker” out of Legos.
The choice would be called “Godzilla or Rodin”

Teams got a clue to fly to Kuwait and got a video player of some sort with a picture of the towers. They didn’t have to figure out to fly to Kuwait on their own.
But I just saw them on E! yesterday! Sigh.
Here’s an odd sidenote about that couple - a few years ago a friend of mine who works in professional theatre told me that Lance Bass was gay. What’s funny is that he heard it from Deborah Gibson, who came to his Halloween party. IIRC, she was in a show or something with Lance and dished the dirt. So I knew about him way before the tabloids! (I know, not exactly a shocker even back then.)
Rob and Kim begged and pleaded and pleaded and begged and told the clerk that it meant a million bucks to them so the clerk caved. Never underestimate the power of pleading Not that they won but the Cab Roulette feature of the game can’t really be overcome
I think it worked because Kimberly used her sex appeal.
I’m not quite sure (my dreams tend to lack clarity or sense), but I think it had something to do with dressing up like Santa Claus. So how about… “Godzilla or Stocking Fillah”? “Sleigh Ride or Grey Hide”? “Down from the Chimney or Up from the Sea”?
I … think I love you. As always, you rock my socks.
That should not really have been an issue as NY taxis are supposedly mandated to use E-Z pass (and pass on the discount to the passenger, but that rarely happens).
I can’t help comparing the finale with the once where they had to put flags in order, or the map together. I really enjoyed the Treasure Hunters finale, where all teams were stuck for hours solving the last cryptex. I don’t know if they suffered lower ratings from the audience expecting dumbed down, spoonfed answers, but I thought it was awesome.
I sure hope it wasn’t the ratings… otherwise shows like the Amazing Race will try to dumb itself down. Even though the audience isn’t solving the puzzles, perhaps they don’t empathize as well with the teams that do solve puzzles.
If I remember correctly, TAR was #10 nationally for the week that ended this past Sunday. I think it was the first time the show ended in the top 20 this season.
