After eleven legs of tasks containing not enough ways for a competent team to gain or lose position substantially – and so many teams demonstrating a lack of Race competence – at last we reach the final leg.
Discuss. Snark. Root for or against a team.
Do Jaime & Cara have any chance of finally breaking into the top two spots at the end of a leg?
(The title quote is actually “… a million dollars.”)
I missed last week, but while I quite dislike Luke and Victor, I think Margie and Tammy both seem like reasonable people, and would be OK with either team winning.
What would hurt would to see Jamie and Cara (and really its just Jamie who has shown herself to be a self centered, arrogant jackass—Cara seems to be more or less normal) win the $$$. I would hate to see Jamie’s entitlement attitude rewarded.
While none of the final 3 teams are favorites, I suppose I will be rooting for Margie, as she seems like the single most decent person still racing, and with her cash, hopefully she can go on a long vacation far away from Luke,as she deserves it…
I hate to admit it, but I’m rooting for Cara & Jaime. Jaime has been a bitch and her treatment of the locals is cringe inducing, but she pretty much warned us what kind of person she was in her pre-game interview. I think they have played the game better than the other two.
Victor & Tammy would’ve been my choice if they hadn’t had such a HUGE advantage in China. Also, Victor creeps me out.
Margie has done okay considering she’s teamed with Luke. But, I think they would’ve been gone early, if they hadn’t just followed other teams. Plus, her mat meltdown makes me think she has mental issues.
I’m rooting for Tammy and Victor, as the least of three evils. I don’t like Luke and Margie at all, and I think Victor is not as bad as Jaime. I wish Tammy and Kara were on a team together–that’s a team I could really get behind… I’ll be in my bunk.
I can’t see her leaving her son for that long and I’d put her at least third behind Cara and Tammy, although to me, Cara’s the least memorable personality of the remaining racers. Can you imagine being on national television with a good friend who’s acting like the epitome of the Ugly American? I feel sorry for Cara.
A great many things can happen, so yes, I think there’s a chance Cara and Jaime will win. I don’t want them to, and I’m still hoping they get a backlash from my ex-colleagues in tourism in Hawaii, but they could pull it off.
I’m rooting for Tammy and Victor because I dislike them least, but I wish Mike and Mel were still in the race. I’d like to see a skill-based challenge or two as well, since navigating around Hawaii shouldn’t be that difficult. Besides, I’m hoping to see a familiar place or two!
Luke is a college student and doesn’t live at home, if I recall his bio correctly.
I too wish Mike & Mel were the third team in the final three instead of the vapid cheerleaders, but I’m really okay with any result tonight except a Jamie & Cara win. I’d like to see an all-female team win TAR, but not this all-female team.
I’m one of the million viewers lost – the Celebrity Apprentice finale starts and 8, and I’ll be watching that. Don’t care about any of the teams, but dislike the redheads the most – so will check the thread later to see that they didn’t win. (Don’t see how they can, but I’ve been wrong before.)
I thought my nominally “favorite” team had it and then they fell apart at the very end and that was that. This ending is really anticlimactic after that, honestly.
Yeah, that was a pretty boring ending, once Luke freaked out at the challenge. I’m curious how much time passed after Victor and Tammy took off, since the other teams seemed pretty sure they lost.
Oh well, I was rooting for Victor and Tammy, so I’m happy. I’m never quite got the Victor hate, since he definitely improved after the Romania freakout. This team feels like one of the first teams that I believe actually improved their relationship during the race.
I can’t say that I was actually rooting for anyone, but I’ll agree with you here. Victor was an ass in Romania, but he came back admirably. I do still think the extended time they spent in China was a bit unfair to everybody else, but I don’t think Tammy and Victor didn’t deserve their win.
I’m with you. I actually wouldn’t have minded Margie and Luke that much if it hadn’t been for that business about how all hearing people are prejudiced against deaf people, but I got concerned when Luke was having trouble at the last road block. I don’t think he’s a bad person, but he doesn’t handle frustration well. I did think Jaime was going to stab him in the back at the end, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Maybe we’ll have better teams next season?
Come to think of it, I think the stuntmen were from Maui, so, if they’d made it that far, they would have had an advantage, too. As it is, I suppose they’ve got a short trip home.
Eh, I wouldn’t call it unfair, since everyone can’t different advantages. I remember in seasons pasts where they would spend a lot of time in Spanish speaking countries and various teams knew the language. And I’m sure they have all the locations planned out before they pick the teams.
I wonder if Jamie and Cara will do a spread for Playboy?
I hate to admit it, but I would probably want to check it out…
That is one reason why Jamie was so unpleasant to watch—She realy is a physically stunning woman, with a miserable personality.
Cara (who is also very easy on the eyes) seems like an OK person, who didnt seem to need to blame others (cab drivers in particular) for thier shortfallings.
