The Amazing Race 11/7

This is a placeholder

So – the preview I saw for this week is something about a circus performance, a bunch of teams misreading a clue, and one of the Team Home Shopping accidentally (I hope!) thwacking Phil with a stick or something?

And will likely be very late tonight…add an hour to the DVR recording!

With eight minutes left in the network time period, the football game just started a fifteen minute fourth quarter. Fifteen minutes of football time equals ninety minutes or so, doesn’t it?

SFG!

I suspect that TAR will be between 30-45 minutes late. The 7:10 pm est, and there is 9 minutes and 39 seconds left in the Oak/KC game.

It’s 7:30 and there’s still 3:40 left in the Indy Phili game.

and the football game goes into overtime…

doesn’t this mean they get to play for another hour or so?

Thankfully NFL overtimes are sudden-death.

Well it could be as long as 45 minutes, or as short as one minute. Looks like programming is going to be delayed at least an hour. {sigh}

I was afraid of all the football :frowning:

Then there’s 60 Minutes, so we’re talking at least an hour late, possibly later if the game goes into OT :grr:

I guess football fans are more important to please than the regular viewers of network programming.

So watch The Simpson’s “Treehouse of Horror” in the meantime!

8:00 and game still on.

Football is over! The Race should “only” start about an hour a couple minutes late.

Well, and I say this as a fan of TAR, football gets better ratings. Also, the principle that sports are shown to their end is carved in stone since the Heidi Game.

Damnit I read this 10 minutes to late! I’ll watch the rest though.

I was fondly remembering the Heidi game a little while ago

Clearly they did not consult me. I like my TAR a few minutes late (to get the kids to bed, although lately we’ve been letting them stay up until 9 to watch) but not very late.

This will not do.

OK, this will just barely do.

ETA: I was all set to make a joke about the Heidi game being something about the lovable Swiss orphan, then I Googled it and found out that it really was to do with that!

Did I miss the speed bump? I was out of the room to settle my daughter for just a a second.

Was there supposed to be one? I don’t remember seeing one.

Weren’t Nick and Vicki supposed to have an extra task to complete for coming in last on the previous episode?
