Amazing Race Season 32

Fun challenges, with at least one chance for a team to catch up and pass others, but pretty ho hum. Will and James jumped to an early lead and never looked back. They tried to drum up some tension with James’ inability to eat beignets, but ultimately you knew what was going to happen the instant they left the bakery.
In hindsight, they should have had the “remember random things you did on the race” challenge here, instead of last episode. It’s always been the finale before, wonder why they moved it? The king cake challenge was pretty much the only chance to pass, and that really came down to luck, not any sort of skill. Overall a C+ season, mostly for the challenges & scenery.

Well, this may very well be the end of The Amazing Race for me. Once again, a terrible final leg with no chance to overtake the team in the lead after the first couple of events. (I totally agree that the music challenge from the previous leg should have been in the final leg instead. Not only is that the kind of challenge I expect in the final leg, but you would not have had teams working together to figure it out.)

And once again a team gets shafted by a crappy cab driver.

And once again the most annoying team wins the race. Dear TAR producers, next time there is a gay male team, can we please have one where they act like grown-ass men instead of squealing pre-teen girls? Thank you.

I liked Will and James. The proposal at the end could have been really cheesy but I think they pulled it off nicely. And I liked how much they enjoyed the race together. That is nice to see.

As for gay men (or anyone really), I think people should simply be themselves and not have to act a certain way for your approval.

Actually, I find that particular type of gay man as off-putting as barbie-doll women who are afraid to get dirty/break a nail (the ones on AR who say people will underestimate them because they’re just so darned beautiful), or frat-boys bumping chests and and acting hyper-masculine. It all seems like such affected behaviour.

Has there been a gay team on the race that wasn’t like that? I can’t recall, it seems to me that they all have been cast that way. Maybe I only remember the annoying teams.

Offhand, there was the deliciously evil Team Guido, the deliciously fun Danny and Oswald, the deliciously handsome Reichen and Chip, and the deliciously lucky Beekmans. None of them had the simpering, mincing affect of Will and James.
