Ambassador John Feeley has resigned as Ambassador to Panama to protest Trump.
I can’t wait to see what suck-up is going to get the job now.

The announcement came yesterday, before the remarks.
So he may be resigning because of Trump, but not because of ShitStorm.
Clever wordplay.
Another Obama appointee resigns under the new regime. Hardly news.
And as we all know, Obama was President in 1990 when Feely joined the State Department, and when he directly worked for Colon Powell and Condi Rice, that was also during the Obama Administration.
He was also a Marine under the former Commandant, General Obama, in the early 1980s.
Not sure what your point is, but he just resigned from the post that Obama appointed him to. This happens a lot when there is a change of administration.
When political appointees move on, it is virtually always on January 20th at noon, or a couple months later in order for someone to be appointed and confirmed to replace them.
A career diplomat resigning over differences with the President is EXTREMELY rare. If you think this is a matter of the routine turnover of appointees, you’re totally not understanding the situation in the slightest.
Clearly you don’t follow the news. These sort of political turnovers take time. This story is yet another example of the Main Stream Media trying to make business-as-usual look like Ye-Gods-Trump-Is-The-End-Of-The-World. YAWN!!!
You’re wrong.
Clearly we follow the news a lot better than you do.
Well, it’s hard to know exactly why he resigned. His statement isn’t very clear (from the link in the OP):
Could be that he just wants to spend more time with his family.
Actually, I’m friends with quite a few political appointees who resigned on January 20th, and know quite a few people who have continued in political appointee positions because they are careerists who have advanced through the ranks of various agencies.
Where did you learn about political appointments? Please, tell me how my personal knowledge of politics appointments, through my first name basis of dozens and dozens of appointees, doesn’t match up to your expertise.
No thanks. I’m not interested in a whose-dick-is-bigger contest. I’m outta here.
“Facts? Run away! Run away!”
John Feeley was a friend and high school classmate, though I haven’t seen him in decades.
Good for him.
Facts to Trumpists are like garlic to vampires.
It’s not a “whose dick is bigger” contest. It’s a “whose facts actually reflect reality” contest. Conservatives seem to lose those a lot lately.
Reality has a liberal bias, y’know.
