Ambivalid is so annoying and obstinately ignorant in this thread that I figured I’d bring it straight to the pit before I got another one of those mod notes for calling a moron a moron.
Hey guys did you know that crack is bad? I didn’t, but thankfully Ambivalid channeled his inner 80s guy and started a thread to warn us.
Apparently, one of Ambivalid’s buddies is addicted to crack and is a dipshit. Therefore, every single person in the world who has a crack problem must act in the exact same way. And we have to be informed in lurid detail just how disgusting and depraved someone who is a prostitute and also likes crack is. Any one who has experience dealing with crack addicts from their work in the legal or medical fields doesn’t know as much about drug addiction as Ambivalid. Any one who has anecdotal experience with crack users, well their experiences with crackheads must be wrong, because all crackheads have to act exactly the way Ambivalid thinks they do.
It’s just galling to me that this idiot comes in here and starts spouting off fun facts from one of those pamphlets they had about drugs in the nurses office in high school then shakes his head with pity at the poor fools who aren’t as well versed in the topic as he is. It’s made worse by how many dopers can’t wait to chime in with “Crack is destroying America’s youth! My friend’s cousin, he was addicted to crack and he stole his mom’s car! Crackheads are inhuman monsters and the police need higher caliber pistols to stop them!”
What kind of sheltered fucking bizarro world does Ambivalid live in that he’s just now realizing that people who smoke a bunch of crack are probably not people you want to hang out with? One where everybody secretly hates people in wheelchairs but having personal experience with a crack addict is as rare as having personal experience with a mafia boss apparently.
I’m not trying to challenge Ambivalid’s street cred, but he seems to know jack shit about drugs. I’m not trying to ruin the sensationalists’ day though, so as a concession here’s a link to New Jack City, the best anti-crack movie ever!
Be sure to look out for a young Chris Rock as Pookie the crackhead. Even this stereotypical crackhead character isn’t half as bad as Ambivalid insists all crack abusers are.
I agree with this pitting. His know-it-all-crack-attitude makes no sense. Sure some are depraved monsters, but so are plenty of non-crack addicts.
And the whole thing about crack being SO MUCH WORSE than any other drug is stupid. Meth addiction is no picnic either. No is the old garden variety alcoholism case.

I’ll repeat myself: You simply were unaware of the true depths of depravity that scare caps are capable of. They are extremely adept at hiding things and deceiving.
You could have just said your piece in that thread- it’s not something that deserves it’s own pitting. Do you just not like him and were waiting for him to say something the least bit annoying, so that you could jump and pit him for it? That’s the impression this thread gives me.
Yeah, this thread feels a bit like, “Ambivalid is back on the boards and that pisses me off.” Which, if so, you should have just titled it that instead, because this thread is weaksauce.
Ambivalid and I have almost no shared posting history. The only thing I know about him is that he is very sensitive about his handicap, which is I suppose is understandable.
I pitted him for this thread specifically, because his attitude in it was driving me nuts. I didn’t feel like engaging him in a serious debate about the habits of people addicted to crack cocaine. I felt like disparaging him for deciding that he was immediately an expert on this subject, and that everyone else in the world was just too naive to grasp what he was saying.
