AMC: Lodge 49 - Anyone watching this?

Little bit of thread necromancy as I just discovered Season 1 of this Show on Prime. I liked it a lot, and I Can see some very obvious parallels to Lebowski. Not only does Dud look and act like a Young Dude (in my headcanon he is the Little Dude conceived in TBL), a lot of the seemingly rambling diaogue/monologues, some out of the blue weirdness like the Group of guys under Orbis, mixing Dream sequences with reality (either due to drug use or possible chemical waste).
Having Bruce Campbell in anything is always a gift, and his arc was great. Unfortunately he doesn’t seem to return in Season 2.

I do share the exasperation with Duds sister - rarely have I seen someone throw away so many gifts handed to them. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like she earned her happy ending (such as it is - she probably gets dragged down by Duds new debt anyway).

Reflecting sbout Season 1, it even has a satisfying, Lebowski like ending. Not everything is explained, life goes on, but it went mostly well for all involved and the mostly got what they wanted the most.

So I think I don’t even Need a Season 2, as I doubt it will end as cleanly as this one did. Anybody seen S2 and like to comment if it’s worth tracking down? Prime does not have it.

If you liked Season 1, you absolutely need to see Season 2. All of the characters continue to grow. The appearance of L. Marvin Metz (author of the Tom Stone books) is wonderful. The last 3 episodes of S2 are some of the best television I have seen in a long time.

I would love to see this series get a DVD or BluRay release… As it is, I just have them on my DVR from their original broadcast.

I liked the show; too bad AMC decided to cancel it after the second season.

Yeah, that was just wrong.

OK, this show is pulling the hairs on my clitoris in the right direction. Starting episode 8 now. Barrel-chested Bruce, you are too much fun.
