I missed last nights episode.
Is there anywhere I can catch it or am I SOL?
I DVR’d it, if you want to come by my house.
I think it was a very intentional self-aware nod to Evil Dead and Dead Alive. Instead of rehashing and milking the played-out zombie genre, the writer seemed to be saying “let’s just acknowledge the great artists who came before, spend 5 minutes chainsawing them to pieces, and get on with the rest of the story.” They avoided cliche by being cliche.
I wonder if the ability to screw someone to their death as one of the seven wonders. Incidentally seven wonders is also a song by fleetwood mac.
Liked the first season a lot but hated the second. I think I was actually hate-watching it by halfway through the season.
This season, however, I am loving to death. Love love love it.
That Stevie Nicks chick is annoying the hell out of me.
And where the fuck did that frankenfrat kid disappear to?
Also, is Gabourey Sidibe’s character un-killable? Because the constant whining from her is killing the show for me.
Didn’t Zoe kill him with rat poison?
Can you kill the undead?
In any event - she fed him some bargain basement tuna, then dropped him off to do trick and/or treating.
We have not (yet) seen him since.
No. She made rat poison tuna salad for him, but when she brought it to him, he was gone.
Stevie Nicks (or Carrie Fisher in a bad Stevie Nicks wig?) is going to appear on AHS.
Somehow this show manages to avoid jumping the shark by jumping every shark in the ocean.
Fiona’s in some deep doo doo now…The Axeman cometh!
I dunno, she seems like she could have a bit of jazz in her heart. Maybe Axeman is just horny.
In case any people associated with American Horror Story happen upon this little thread in this little message board, I’m going on record:
The Frankenfrat three-way was actually kind of sort of hot, even to me. And also it got Evan Peters to stop making that annoying whining sound.
I didn’t realize The Axeman was real, so I’m in the show’s debt for that trivium.
I hope this isn’t the end of Delphine. She’s the best role Kathy Bates has had in a long time. I also wonder if we’ve, um, heard the last from Spalding.
I wonder why Angela Bassett is listed as Special Guest Star instead of in the credits. I didn’t like her Miss Cleo accents and mannerisms at first, but she’s really grown on me and I think she’s having a blast with the role.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before. So, a witch, a zombie, and a frankenstein have a three way…
Did that whole Toto thing at the beginning take anyone else right out of the episode? I get the feeling that was a case of old writers writing what they were into at that age, or something like that. Actually had me wondering for a minute if this series was actually set in the present or not, then he was all Katrina, and I was like nope, no college frat guy in 2013 is that much of a spaz over a marginal band that was last relevant approx. a decade before he was born.
I felt like I missed an episode. It seemed like, last week, Ax Man is revived, leaves the witch house and goes to the bar where he hooks up with Jessica Lange on the same night. Yet this week, he’s found a place to live and murdered someone (possibly the previous tenant?) at some point.
Not to be mean or that guy but am I the only one that feels my arteries tighten every time Gabourey Sidibe is on screen?
That said, I am loving this show. I watch very little television and missed the previous seasons (Netflix here I come!). Jessica Lange is such a witch and now some real fireworks are about to fire off.
Considering what we know about him and his ‘special relationship’ with his mother, its not that far out that he would consider Kansas that way.
“Carry on my wayward son” - indeed.
((Meaning that it was his mothers influence there, she likely loved the band, not that Kansas* invites or inspires incestuous relationships)
*the band or the state
I just fear that unless she takes some positive steps, she’s gonna’ be playing the fat person the rest of her career. Which, considering how obese Americans have become, will probably afford her many, many roles.
Unless she takes some steps she’s not going to live to get many, many roles.
