Incidentally: I, maybe more than most dopers, do have a beef with what the USA did in places like Central America as I’m from El Salvador and had to leave the country because of the civil war made worse by the criminal military aid Reagan and others gave to the dictator thugs back in the 80’s. (I learned later that many Americans did not agree with those actions so I concentrate on taking on the ones that want to continue to play the ignorant card) but I have to tell the OP that even if there are some good cites in that vomit of an OP, most are lost in the middle of very stupid sources and old dead ones.

Gee, I lived abroad and talked to people as well. And not a single one of them said one fucking thing about American imperialism, most likely because there is no such thing.
