Best use of smilies… ever.
Well, I have to admit I am not the definition of patriotism, and I was (after reading the OP) going to support lobley…but then discovered he was two fries short of a Happy Meal. I do believe that Americans are too patriotic now, especially after 9/11, but have some logic!!! To just laugh at American stupidity and see how we humble ourselves, read Mad Magazine, (esp. #418–Example of Misdirected Patriotism is a kicker).
Seriously though, people who feel that certain displays of patriotism are admirable are really laughable (like I said, read the issue). I learned quickly to support anything I say; it’s pure logic to do so. Hell, let’s start up the expatriots thing again, Lobley can join too, if he’s taking the recommended dose of valium. I’ll be Fitzgerald, who’s gonna be Hemingway???

But not all opinions are informed ones. Most American have opinions on subjects of which they know absolutely nothing. Evolution, for example.
