So, what did you learn about politics and history from this?
I actually clicked on the link: a fantasy-silly painting of Richard Nixon fighting a saber tooth tiger.
Whatever. That whole genre of ironic fantasy painting, like Jesus winning a pro wrestling match or some such, lasts about a second with me. The thought of someone devoting time and energy to crafting stuff like that just boggles.
Wow, I thought I was just posting something people might find amusing, but fine, it won’t happen again.
Eh, your title brings in people who want to read something really interesting about American politics and history, only to be presented with humorous, bad art. It’s the expectation differential that’s the let down.
I recommend you request a thread title change.
I found it amusing. Especially the brass knuckles.
Hey, relax, what you posted is a perfect definition of “mundane pointless stuff”. WordMan wasn’t crapping on you (right, WordMan? RIGHT?), just reacting to the mundanity and pointlessness.
I’ve seen the artist’s work before. My favorite is Ben Franklin fighting Zeus.
Pretty nifty stuff!
Yeah, sorry for the snark, Atomic Alex. It’s a fun painting, and yet, if it was Trump instead if Nixon, Donald would have it on display at the White House.
I just had to go look that up…and you were right: Ben Franklin VS. Zeus by SharpWriter on DeviantArt
Nice touch with the wolverine-like claws…
That painting’s not believable.
Nixon would NEVER use metal knuckles!
