america's got talent continues

so, has anyone been watching the show?? any predictions?? favorites??

i really like that neal guy from missouri. i just don’t think anybody on the show is as talented. i liked the little girl they voted off (the fighter). i think disney could pick her up and put her in a show as a girl action star!
why, oh why are those people in that zoo-something-or-other still on the show? why do jerry springer, the hoff, and the audience love them?? can someone please enlighten me on what i’m missing about that act?

I have to say, at this point, I have disagreed with both of the judge’s decisions. I am not getting something. I thought the fighter girl and the dancer’s were easy wins over the acts chosen to stay.

There must be some aspect of the judge chosen acts that translates better live then it does over the TV.

Yes, it continues to suck. At least half of the top 40 acts should never have been put through. Last night I fast forwarded through much of the show. Baton boy, and country singing girl were great, and there was one more that was good, but I can’t remember it now. They put through the ZooperStars? Seriously WTF?

I watched a few minutes. Loved the singer. Before the song she was saying that she had her fingers crossed because her song choice was so controversial. Turns out it was the Dixie Chicks.

Didn’t they win scads of awards lately and won back the country? What’s so controversial about that?

I’ve seen the ZooperStars perform at half time at bball games. They are beyond terrible. I just lost all respect for Jerry Springer and David Hasselhoff…

I thought tonight’s show was going to be unwatchable after seeing the first few acts. They saved the best acts for the last half of the show tonight.
Going Home
Paul Saylos - Sinatra impersonator - awful tonight.
Kaitlin Mayer - needs to go home.
Donald Braswell - I thought he was really bad tonight.
Jessica Price - screamed the entire song. I cant believe the judges thought she nailed it. That was a mess.

On the Cusp
Joseph Hall - Elvis lives. Judges thought he was bad, but I thought he did well this week.
Neal E. Boyd - very bad start, shaky middle, and I didn’t think he brought it together as well as the judges did.
The Wright Kids - not bad, but I wouldn’t pay to see them

Pool of Winners If anyone but one of these three wins, I won’t be able to watch this show ever again.
Queen Emily - very good, but not the best act of the night
Nuttin but Strings - I would pay to see these guys. They are brilliant.
Eli Maston - another great performance

Without sounding too Hoffish, I thought all 10 acts were outstanding this week and picking five is tough. Still, I think The Wright Kids need to go. They were really good up until last night, but thought they were lacking. I actually liked the family more than them save for their one disaster with cracking vocals.

I thought this was Joseph’s best week myself, but it may be because I’m a fan of that song.

I agreed with Sharon 100% on Neal E Boyd where it went from ‘meh’ to suddenly being covered with goosebumps as he roared in the middle. He needs to play it safe next week, but he will continue and may win.

The three you picked as winners were all amazing, and I would pay to see any of them, along with Neal. I disagree with you on Jessica and thought she did the Sarah McClaughin song as good as, if not better, than the original. I was really moved by her performace (although I am constantly getting misty eyed by Kaitlin, who does need to go home at this point).

The five I think that will go on:
Eli Matson - AMAZING piano
Nuttin’ But Strings - I too would pay to see them
Queen Emily - agree with you, and she won’t win, but she deserves something out of this show
Neal E. Boyd - he will be down to the final 2 or 3
Jessica Price - she never stood out before, but she was amazing last night
