amount of time someone reads junkmail?

I heard a statistic that there is a certain number of seconds that a person has junkmail in their hands from the mailbox to the garbage can.

Does anyone have any ideas what the amount of time actually is?

Going to vary a lot. I don’t read them at all, will toss as fast as I can riffle through them.
My mother has to open and ponder every piece and then call me about it. “Why are they still writing to your father? He’s been dead for years and never did like boats.”

I wish I knew, and I wish the advertisers knew. In my case, if I know it’s junk mail between the mail box and the garage (where there be garbage receptacles), it’s about 15 seconds.

However long it takes to walk 20 steps from the mailbox to the kitchen garbage can. I never even open junk mail.

exclusive mailbox filters. Brings the time down to exactly zero.
