i see that the moderator mr winkleried doesnt want me to discuss my point of view here but i just wanted to answer chronos who responded to me.
i know youre joking about forcing people to read these articles but the fact is that they are available and people (including children) can find them through a search for something else like i did.
as far as everyone having relations and sexual body parts, thats true. but those discussions can be kept in the home where they don’t offend anybody and not made public.
in any case i guess im not supposed to criticise the columns here (though i see many other people criticising them in other messages) so ill end here.
bruce

Righteous, we meet again!
I suppose I should have been more clear in your other thread. Discussions on almost any subject are permitted here at the Straight Dope Message Board. Have you been to the home page yet?

You will see that we have several fora, each forum made to host a certain category of discussion. Please read the description of each forum. Cecil Adams is not averse to people criticising his point of view as long as they are making valid points and discussing the facts calmly and rationally. (Note that I am not implying that you have behaved otherwise).
In my opinion as moderator your ideas seemed to me to be more related to the issue “does discussion of certain issues belong on the internet?” rather than a comment on any particular column by Cecil Adams, which is why I closed the thread. I am also going to close this one with the invitation to you to try one of our other fora (e.g. Great Debates) if you need to expand on your train of thought.
