An Aztec Emperor named "Dry Excrement?"

The other day I saw a poster depicting all of the Aztec emperors, their names in the native Aztec language, their names in Spanish, the dates of their birth/death and rule, etc etc. One of the emperors was named “Excremento Seco.” Of course, this, in Spanish, means “Dry Excrement.” Why on earth would an emperor have this phrase as his namesake? I looked online for information about him but could hardly find anything. What gives?

At a guess, you’re referring to Cuitlahuac, though the name’s more usually translated as “excrement owner” or - as a factoid in endless glurge - “plenty of excrement”. This was the rather more aggressive brother of Montezuma, who was elected to replace him during the Cortes invasion, but who died of some disease shortly thereafter.
Presumably the name is related to the Aztec’s notion that gold and silver were the yellow and white excrement of the sun.

If he’s the more aggressive brother of Montezuma, perhaps it’s a description of HIS revenge
