Madison — As the state agency charged with running elections, the Government Accountability Board can’t show favor for Republicans or Democrats.

The board recently launched a new logo - an A inside a circle - that looks similar to the traditional symbol for anarchy.

The board paid about $4,900 to have the logo designed by Madison-based Cricket Design Works, said Kevin Kennedy, the board’s director. He said he first became aware of the similarity when a board employee mentioned it as they reviewed drafts of the design.

The design firm didn’t return a call.

That’s because you dont understand their philosophy.

I used to think like you, but a long talk with an anarchist friend made me understand,.

They are not against organization, or unity, they are against enforced organization.

In a quick and dirty (and somewhat inexact) definition, they are like libertarians who dont believe in private property

Which makes no sense at all: Without a government or something acting as a government, how will they enforce that lack of property ownership?

The only way it makes sense is if they renounce property and don’t care if anyone else does, or at least don’t try to prevent anyone else from owning things. The result of that is a few people living in self-inflicted poverty in an Anarcho-Capitalist system. And that is simply pointless idealism.

Regardless, this isn’t anarchy. It’s just another council tenancy.
