I did have to buy some ties. For a pay check I can live with wearing a tie.
I’m going to working as a business analyst for Orange county here in Florida. Primarily working with SQL in some property databases, writing reports and other exciting stuff.
Definitely not impossible. I went from April of 03 until March of 12 without a job, before finding one.

In many companies this is the official policy, which I believe to be beyond contemptible.
Agreed. Prolonged unemployment, without more, and through no fault of the applicant but reflective of the generally sluggish economy, should never be a disqualifying factor.
