What’s really scary about all this is that I had a talk with a girl a while back about the level of my sex appeal (don’t ask) and she compared me to David Schwimmer! Then again, she mentioned Edward Norton as well, so at least that was slightly comforting.
Everything.
Worst. Dreck. Ever.
Friends don’t let friends watch Friends.
What bugs me most about Friends?
Ross
need I say more?
Ross has dated that asian woman, erm her name was Jenny or something, what the hell was wrong with her?if he didn’t want her I would of had her!
And yeah, those ‘token’ characters really do bug me, I think someone of a different colour can be at least as funny as the main cast.
Another thing that bugs me about friends, spawning another bazillion shows just like it! And turning Sabrina the teenage witch into it as well!
I totally agree. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again on this board:
Anniston might not be Cate Blanchett, but she’s not a bad actress. Also, she seems to be an OK person in real life, at least from seeing her on Leno and Letterman and stuff. So, she’s not overly bright, but she knows it. And she constantly picks minor rolls in movies, not to make money ('cause God knows, she does that from Friends), but to gain experience. She gives a very good performance in The Good Girl.

Why is it that so much vitriol gets thrown at women in movies/tv when they have success? I’ve read soooo many threads with hatred towards:
- Julia Roberts
- Nicole Kidman
- Jennifer Anniston
- J.Lo
ASF.

Me either, especially early on. I think a show with just them would have been great.
Even white!?
Or should I say, “even creamy/peachy coloured people?”*
- Just in case someone wanted to point out white isn’t a colour.
Ross bugs me because he’s a pussy.
Rachel and Ross together bug me because they’re always dumping Emma on someone else. They fucking went to Barbados and left the kid in New York? WTF is that? Maybe Ross had to be there but Rachel just hops on the plane and goes down there for a little vacation? And the kid is an infant?! Gee, what great parents. Why is it they can get along long enough to do it on Joey’s couch and conceive Emma but they can’t give marriage a whirl for her sake? It’s not like Ross doesn’t have marital experience!
Monica and Chandler are not believable as a couple. Monica must have some form of OCD with her control/clean freak issues and she leads Chandler around by the dick. Chandler, grow a spine!!!
Rachel needs to make up her damn mind and pick a guy … either be with Ross or be with Joey. And whoever said she’s a slut is partially right. She has been around the block a time or two.
Joey is probably the biggest slut of them all, though, he’s nailing someone new practically every week.
Phoebe was a dumbass for dumping David. And I wish she would oh, grow a brain already!
What really annoys me is how unrealistic the show is. Maybe I just don’t know about NYC’s economy but how can a waitress and a cook live in a bigass apartment like that, filled with expensive stuff?
It was monica’s grandma’s apt. and they are illegally subletting it hence the low price.
What bugs me about Friends? Heh…depends on the season.
Currently I’m twitching at the dull jelly of a boyfriend Phoebe’s got, whatever his stupid name is–he is a dork, period, and not an endearing one like David. At least David’s not trying to be cool.
And I hate Ross for all the possible reasons you could hate Ross, including the guy that plays him. Ever read any interviews with him? What an unjustifiably arrogant prick!
Why do I hate Friends? Because it’s good.
This damn show’s been around for ten years, built on a lame premise, with annoying, typical characters, implausible settings, contrived situations and Matt LeBlanc.
But I can’t deny that the writing is still pretty crisp and funny, the tone of the show is comfortable and bright, and the actors have filled out their characters to such an extent that we think of them as real people. So much so that most of the conversation on this topic doesn’t refer to actor names, just characters. Like it or not, that’s a sign of solid acting. Jennifer Aniston (you know, Rachel) in particular has really come a long way as a comic actor.
And that pisses me off, since it’s a stupid-ass, creaky sitcom that I should hate by now.
Well I have to say, the only thing that annoys me about Friends is the theme tune, it’s had the same theme tune for the last ten and it slightly annoys me.

I can’t say I’ve ever really watched Friends. I’ve caught the very end or beginning of an episode, but I’ve never sat and watched an entire episode. But from what I have watched, the blonde girl kind of bugs me…she’s not very likeable and she seems a lot older than the others.
