And of course, 100 MASH characters

That’s Hammond! :smack:

Lt. Baker, the nurse who got put on report by Margaret and then snuck her husband into her tent and got busted again. It’s during the “lousy cup of coffee” ep, Hot Lip’s best.

The soldier who’s point of view a whole ep was taken from.

Charles’ orchastra from the final ep.

Radar’s bunny, the one that gave up it’s uterus for Hot Lips’ pregnancy test.

Peggy and Erin Hunnicut (Seen in home movie)

Mildred Potter

Hawkeye’s dad

Charles’ sister Honoria, who’s stutter was heard on tape.

The stuttering soldier.

The Turkish soldier with the huge moustache

The fellow who died holding Nurse Kellye’s hand and talking about his peachtree orchard.

If we can count characters never seen like Honoria Winchester, then how about Rizzo’s wife Zola?

Yes! General Barker! I kept thinking of B names but none seemed right. And I even though Gen Wilson, but KNEW that was wrong! LOL (And I knew Sorrell but couldn’t remember Brooke).

Lyle Wesson (Alex Karras)
Sgt. Ames
Maj. Frankenheimer (the officer in charge of the “Korean Theater”)
Capt. Roy Dupree (Arkansas '43–“Souwee hog!”)

Correction: Loudon Wainright’s character was Capt. Calvin Spaulding (referring to Groucho’s African explorer).

While we never saw Honoria, we did hear her. Zola was never seen nor heard.

There was Radar’s mom in the home movie, also played by Gary Burghoff. Sometimes those memories of Gary Burghoff in drag wake me up screaming at night.

Lt Ginger Bayliss

maybe we should save the characters not actually in Korea/Japan as last resorts in case we have trouble hitting 100? what do you all think?

What about the guy expecting a bribe when Hawkeye ran Rosie’s – Sully?

Private James Weston (the ghost)

Nurse Donovan (B.J. slept with her.)

Good point. I just remember Rizzo talking about her an awful lot. I love Rizzo.

I don’t know that that’s where I would draw the line. I mean, I’d probably count people like Honoria, Peg, and Erin before I’d count miscellaneous characters that only appeared in one episode. They were regularly mentioned and their personalities were fleshed out. They were very important in the lives of major characters. In contrast, Zola was referred to a lot, but usually played for a laugh, and she was the wife of a minor character.

Here’s a test–if the show was set in the U.S., would these characters have been seen regularly? Peg and Erin? Definitely. Honoria? Probably would be in a few episodes. Zola? Probably still mentioned, but maybe not seen.

Anyway, that’s my opinion. We need a judge to make the call. I appoint anyrose.

Assorted nuns with seen with the orphans.
